Simple Syrup

Simple syrup, also called sugar syrup or bar syrup, is a syrup made of sugar and water. It is used as a sweetener for mixed drinks.

Simple syrup is made by dissolving one cup of sugar in one cup of boiling water, a 1:1 ratio.
