Drinks for Different Occasions
My answer to that question will be with another question. What do you feel like drinking? I usually drink the same drinks at any time, day, occasion or time of the year. Drink what you like to drink and not what everybody's drinking.
Many people order drinks according to different occasions, places, time of the day, seasons, etc. Here are some examples and suggestions on what to order:
Becoming of legal drinking age (21 years old in the U.S.)
When you turn 21, many of your friends want to take you out to a bar to get your first alcoholic drink. They usually get you strong drinks and shots. Your first experience with alcohol doesn't have to be a painful one. Don't get drunk.
My Recommendation: If you are going to have your first alcoholic drink, you should drink something not too strong. Choose a drink that contains one liquor. My first drink was a Screwdriver.
Strong Drinks and Shots
Strong Drinks: Long Island Iced Tea, Adios Mother Fucker, Long Beach Iced Tea, Tokyo Tea, Grateful Dead, L.A. Water, etc.
Shots: Jager Shots, Tequila Shots, Jager Bombs, Cactus Cooler Shots, etc
If you have bacheloratte party at a bar, let your bartender know that you are celebrating your bacheloratte party and he/she may buy you a drink. A perfect drink for this occasion is a Blow Job Shot. Remember, don't use your hands when you drink a Blow Job.
Drinks with you meals
Many people like to enjoy a cocktail with their meals. You may order beer, mixed drinks or wines. If you want to order wine with your meal, here is a recommendation on what to order.
Meal: Cobb Salad, Seafood, Chicken, Oysters, Lobster, Shrimp, Salmon, Poultry, Pork, Veal, Asian Food or Smoked Foods.
Wine: Cabernet Sauvignon
Meal: Lamb, Beef, Barbecue, Duck, Poultry, Hearty Pastas or Smoked Foods.
Meal: Beef, Barbecue, Stews, Roast or Hearty Pastas.
Wine: Pinot Noir
Meal: Salmon, Turkey or Pastas.
A basic rule is white wine with white meat and red wine with red meat, but you don't have to follow this rule. Order whatever you feel like drinking.
After dinner drinks
If you would like to have a drink after your meal, you may order some coffee drinks or some sweet drinks for dessert. Here is a list of After Dinner Drink Recipes.
Time of the day and season
Here are some suggestions on what to order according to the time of the day or season:
Night: Anything that you want.
Winter: If it is too cold, order some coffee drinks or other hot drinks. You can also order some shots.
Summer: Who doesn't want a nice cold beer? How about a fruity drink?
