The Creator
My name is José Manuel Quezada. I was born on September 6, 1978 in the capital (Guadalajara) of the state of Jalisco, Mexico. I moved to California, U.S. at the age of 13 where I learned to speak English and attended high school and college.
I attended the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and I obtained a B. S. in Information and Computer Science (ICS). While attending college, I bartended at a high volume night club where I got my knowledge of bartending.
How it all started
I started Good Cocktails as a learning project. I wanted to learn more about web applications, databases, web servers, animation, client and server side scripting. I needed a project to practice everything that I have learned at school, so I decide to create a web site. I chose to create a bartending and mixed drink recipe web site because of my bartending knowledge on the subject.
The Mission
Our mission is to provide information about the bartending profession as well as information related to mixed drinks (cocktails).
